One of my Favourite songs in my Favourite Raga

Below is the lyric of one of my MOST FAVOURITE songs in my MOST FAVOURITE raaga, Darbari Kaanada. The song is an expression of EXTREME INTIMACY & SINCERE GRIEF. The reason I say this is because, these words came tumbling out of the poet when his wife lay dead in front of him. MY dear dad has sung this song & the song is there on You Tube. Here are the lyrics of the song.....

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali
neelamaNi hoLedaMte
hoLe hoLedu hOdeyaa
shakti tanu jaate,

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali

jagavella malagihudu
chaMdiranu nagutihanu
taMgaaLi beesutide
neenelli manadanne
kuMtaLaa shObhe,

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali

aaprathama darshanadi
mogada cheluvaa tori
noopuraadharava beeri
malligeya nage nakke
tanirasada tavari

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali

aa nuDiye nuDiyaagi
aa nageye nageyaagi
aa nEha madhuvaagi
manadalli suLiyutide
naaTya praveeNe

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali
neelamaNi hoLedaMte
hoLe hoLedu hOdeyaa
shakti tanu jaate,

kalpanaa Chaayeyali
nalmeya naukeyali

A song worth the mention. Thanks to you Rambler for trying to open the doors of the life's best realisation channels - MUSIC. Poems of such great charm and emotions are less frequent in other languages. Keep such good work going :). Did hear your Dad sing it too... My humble salutations to him.
